Terms of Service

These terms cover purchases made on this site from SilkDSP, a sole proprietorship. By buying a plugin here, you're agreeing to them.

What you're buying

A license to install and use one of our plugins, delivered digitally: a license key by email plus a download link, no physical product ships. Each purchase is licensed for one user's personal or professional work, not for redistribution or resale. We don't currently enforce this with in-plugin license checks (nothing stops the installer from running without entering a key), that's a deliberate choice, not an oversight, but the license terms still apply regardless of whether the software technically checks for one.

Refunds

All sales are final. Because these are digital products delivered immediately after purchase, we don't offer refunds once a license key has been issued, except where required by law.

By completing checkout, you're asking us to deliver your license key and download link right away rather than waiting, and to the extent your local law would otherwise give you a cooling-off or withdrawal period for digital content, you agree that delivering it immediately ends that right.

Updates

Your purchase includes updates to that plugin's current version line at no extra cost. If we ever ship something big enough to call a new paid version, existing customers will hear about it directly, not get silently charged again.

What we don't promise

This software is provided "as is." We work to keep it stable and to fix real bugs, but we can't promise it's error-free or that it'll work perfectly in every DAW, on every system, in every project. We're not liable for lost work, session issues, or other damages arising from using (or not being able to use) our plugins, beyond refunding what you paid for them.

Acceptable use

Don't redistribute, resell, or share your license key so others can use it without buying their own. Don't attempt to circumvent or reverse-engineer the software beyond what applicable law explicitly allows. We can revoke a license found to be misused this way.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the business changes. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "last updated" date above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States.
